By using particle「で」 you can point out the means, method of an act.（Lesson７―１）

When you talk about which language you or someone uses, you use particle 「で」.

When you want to ask somebody what language they are using, you can use the phrase:
「何語（なにご）」
( what language ? )

When you want to ask how to say a certain word in another language you can use :
「～は○○語（ご）でなんですか。」
( what is this word in… ?)

１．私（わたし）は　日本語（にほんご）で　話（はな）します。
I speak Japanese.

２．マイケルさんは　英語（えいご）で　話（はな）します。
Micheal speaks English.

３．あなたは　何語（なにご）で　話（はな）しますか。
What language do you speak?

　　私（わたし）は　日本語（にほんご）で　話（はな）します。
I speak Japanese.

４．「こんにちは」は　英語（えいご）で　“Hello”です。
「こんにちは」is “Hello” in English.

５．「ありがとう」は　中国語（ちゅうごくご）で　“謝謝”です。
「ありがとう」( thank you ) is “謝謝” in Chinese.

６．“Good morning”は　日本語（にほんご）で　何（なん）ですか。
What is “Good morning” in Japanese ?

　　“Good morning”は　日本語（にほんご）で　「おはようございます」です。
“Good morning” is 「おはようございます」 in Japanese.
